To be of significant value, something needs to be both scarce and desirable. The TK Impreza is not particularly desirable, hence it's not worth £30k like a 22B.

It's not that desirable because its fugly and it doesn't have any rally connotations that I'm aware of.
It's another pseudo special edition, the only cars that will be worth anything in the long run are the official special editions like the 22B, Series McRae or maybe the Cosworth (although the jury is out on that at the moment) and even then they will need to be immaculate and pretty near standard!

Mate, what are you going on about ??

The car is rare, but, does not demand a huge price tag. It is only worth a few grand, but that doesn't make it any less rare or special in an enthusiasts eyes.

Just because something is rare doesn't mean its valuable. I own a car called an ogle sx250, it is one of two in the world and mine is the only road worthy one. Does that make it worth a fortune ?? No.

You need to stick a set of AP4 pots on it and double the value.

Are the Ford Cosworth's sold for more in this day and age if they are standard, or the one's that have been well tuned?.

Depends on the buyer surely, I would thought a genuine standard car would be more sought after but that would obviously depend on what they plan on doing with it.

How much is 100+ race fuel?
It's an early car, most probably has a chip on the ecu, resolder the J1 conector if memory serves, and you're good to go.

Too many people have this misconception that 100 RON fuel has been available in Japan since the dawn of time.

It hasn't.

I don't really think It matters where its for sale.
Its not a collectors item as such, but to a Subaru fan / enthusiast it may be the kind of car they would like to put into the back of the garage to add to their collection. Like I said its a piece of tuning history to own as opposed to the run on the mill WRXs.

I've never heard of a TK bugeye that looks great

Coincidently I exchanged a few messages with a chap the other evening that may own this M20 unless there are two of them for sale that is Just one of a few he has at the moment.

100 RON fuel did not appear at the dawn of time, my RA was producted before it was available in Japan as well so V power all the way

He's a very good freind of mine....

He does import via his uncle... Hence look at the website provided....

This car is incredibly rare in black and also having the TK extras, if you do some homework you will see...

It's worth more than a couple grand... Iv seen all his cars etc and it's straight answers, honest sell with all details provided...

Its not too everyone's taste but let's sort fact from fiction when you start attacking a person

Another brilliant scoobynet thread.....

Id be ****ed if I'm continuing my membership on here.....

"pseudo special editions' - mmmm.... such as an AMG Merc then ?

Grandads' cars.
Old boys whose reflexes and reactions have gone and who need the aid of a younger man's technology ie computers.

Anyone pit one of these expensive German machines against a modded bit of 'Jap crap' between any two points on Earth that are not in a straight line ( or even are, if an Old Fart is behind the wheel ).

Cue rant 'you won't leave it alone will you.........' etc. etc. etc.

I am genuinely curious as to why you persist with the age jibes when you are yourself at least 10 years older than me? Are you trying to portray yourself as some youngster rather than your real age? That is genuinely creepy behaviour!

I see I'm magically not on your ignore list any longer

Yea just saw that, probably about right though, Japan isn't the cheapest to get containers out from, plus auction costs, service/MOT etc, I'd of thought the guy may have a grand in it but probably not much more
