Floyd

That means we only beat you by 4 laps.....

I did try and swap the 2nd place trophy for the 1st place when nobody was looking (apart from Jane the Dane) but I got rumbled....

Glad you had a good time, hope that the injury didn't play up too much
Painkillers are a godsend, that is all I am saying

Count me in as priority on the next one Jeff, hopefully it will be dry this time, though it was incredibly fun in the wet
I am glad I had a spare change of clothes!!!!!

'Chelle,
Mutant_matt, all I can say is............we beat you
I seem to remember you saying *YOU* were going to beat me (not use your team to help you ) - judging by our respective lap times, you've answered my original question though..........no, you *can't* drive your Kart better than I can drive mine.....

Hmmmmm, I will race you when I am totally fit and able to race rather than the pathetic state I was in when I got there.

What sort of lap time were you doing? You were out at the same time as me weren't you? It was absolutely wet as anything when I was out for my 45 minute session and started drying out when I went in

'Chelle,

Sadly I wasn't out at the same time as you so I didn't get the chance to overtake you a couple of times (unlike John Felstead ). I did however get a grandstand seat of your wonderful piroette into the mud in front of the pits on the practise session, that was very kind of you

You will of course remember that shortly after it started drying out, it rained like buggery and even hailed for us (just in case we weren't wet from the rain )

I was averaging 1:05's-1:07's mainly (and I noticed whilst you were out that you were averaging 1:11's - 1:13's )

Unfortunately, my times still weren't anywhere good enough to compete with a few of the class guys out there...

BTW, on the way home, Phil and I came across team "Rusty Nuts". They were what you may have called "racing" up the Hoddesdon link road in their Mondeo and Golf GTi - Needless to say that Phil found it neccessary to "extract his revenge"....

'Twas fun, see ya all at the next one (which hopefully will be dry as I've had about enough of the wet races for a while....)

Ta,

Matt

I was wet, cold and dirty by the time we'd finished thanks to John F's gravel bashing!

Even so, I really enjoyed it. Have got some nice bruises from being rammed by someone and stiff muscles all over after having to pull the kart out of the grass a few too many times

Will be "racing" at the next one for sure!

i had the whole, do a spin, go from full oposite to full positive lock and boot it into a full 360 and carry on like you meant it stylee well sussed out by the end!!!! I had enough practice though.

I am a trusting soul Jeff. The car had the valuables though

I got a massive 2 laps in the dryish conditions, did a 55 second lap then it hailstoned, fan bloody tastic.

It was fun wagging my bum at you as i passed chelle. The Karts bum i mean

I LOVE driving in the wet.

I thought from the lack of response to this event that Scoobynet is all Karted out.....Yet everyone seems to have had a good time and already the chat is that you'll be up for another event....

So......

Where
When
Who's organising

Lets see if there is a Scoobynet team good enough to take on Team Weave

I'm happy to organise another event at Milton Keynes (if they'll let us come back ), but it'll be later in the year.

There's supposed to be a SIDC event at Wilton Mill "soon", but I haven't heard anything about it recently.

Wilton Mill will cost 224.95 per team.

I called them and they gave me a date of Sun 21st July, however I forgot I am at the Nurburgring this weekend. And they would want £900 deposit from me

The is also an indoor karting event in Northampton www.gpkarting.com

I denied bashing into you I cannot remember spinning to the point where I was facing you, though I did spin several times

I do remember going down the straight by the pits (after managing to correct severe oversteer ) and every time I came up to the corner there was some muppet just completing a spin, sitting in te middle of the track......I was doing a EVERY TIME, as I just sailed in and hoped for the best

I did get one warning which I acknowledged with a thumbs up, I have no idea why I got it I think I may have earned another one, but there were three other karters surrounding me so I think it was to be a shared warning

Thanks John. I don't think it was the sort of mud pack I would choose to have, but very well done all the same!

So was it me? I dont think i got one that high?
If it was me, sorry.

I probably looked far more mudpacked than you anyway. I couldnt close my visor as my glasses steamed up so i got covered in $hite from following people on the back straight (powerboating lake).

Cant wait to do it again.

Scoobychick
Apologies for not turning up but we were out drinking till the early hours Saturday and were capable of nothing more than slobbing on the sofa in the dry watching the GP and Superbikes yesterday
I was out patying until 7a.m. in the morning so pooooor excuse (that's why I overslept and rolled in at 12:30ish)

I gotta say I sucked Normally ok in a kart, but it just wasn't coming together on the day. I seemed to spend half the time giggling or shaking my head in disgust at my driving.

Callum

P.S. I was the driver of Kart4 with the old style Foggy Shark lid that would slide off the track then wave at everyone as they passed ....must stay off the vodka
