Kames Pics

I'd also like to add my thanks for organising a cracking day out The fact that I was taking it easy made the first foray on-track with the Impreza rather jolly.
My dear lady has asked if she'd be allowed to bring her Ford Ka up next time
Did anyone get a photo of my MY01 WRBlue WRX ? If so, I'll dig the thread out and say thank you when I get back off my hols.

Some more Kames photos at the following URL
http://community.webshots.com/album/39276904tMLnJy
Includes some shots from inside the car when the rain made things interesting Noticed on some runs I was hitting the change up light in second as I was approaching the hairpin, maybe that explains why I sometimes had a problem braking for it Some shots of Tut taken from video footage on one of his runs. Will get shots of people's cars on track at the double header in July as I think it will be busy so won't get out on track as much, shame.
Cheers again for photos Robbie

I had exactly the same problem at the hairpin and at the first right hander (at the marshals hut) I was hitting rev limit in second just a second or two before I had to brake for the corner, so had no time to reach for third. Probably cost me heaps of time

had that same problem as well, but in my case i just over revved the bugger took it to 7000 rpm, where it should stop at 6100rpm, dont know why rev limiter not working possible cauase the car has been modified from turbo technics when conversion was done, was well happy with time off the day in a 12 year old car at 106.08 secs

Lo peeps,
It was my first time goin on to kames that day, had some great fun, and will definatelly be doing it again, only had three runs in the middle of the day. Had a puncture on the rear NS tyre, and the rear wheels do rub the back arches when giving it some, thats why I took the huge sub box out of the boot to see if it would lighten the back up. Had the rear arches rolled, but not enough.
Wont be takin the car to my limits until I get track day wheels and tyres.

I think the pics of yours with the passenger window down is when your mate got your car's best time of 98.75. I was in the passenger seat and trying to escape through the window! It was a great run and quite hairy just before the hairpin. He did say you would be pissed off with his time.
Good meeting you both
