Just did the rear diff. oil on my 02 STi today and those sump nuts were insanely tight.

Used this tool from Halfords but had to grind it down a bit so that it was a snug fit.

As mentioned up the page its very difficult to get leverage to undo them when just working on a driveway so had to use a trolley jack underneath the sump plug tool to crack them free!
