Do you know what guys? Life is too short. I think I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow.

I'm getting one. I'm getting my blue one.

Well done, just go for it and enjoy! At least it's not some plain boring German metal!

you have just made my day and at the same time made me very jealous .This has got to be one of the best looking cars ive seen. Every where you go people will be looking, and just wait till your next to someone in golf or bmw etc they will look stupid. The evo has come to an end and it just shows me that Subaru are fighting for the future. Good luck mate and look forward to seeing some pics p.s if you want I will let you take me for a drive.

Good man one of the best decisions I ever made was to say "bollocks to it, life's too short" and purchase an Impreza.

'a blast on a hot day after standing in traffic'

Could you explain this please.
I own a WRX STi with the pro drive performance pack fitted so statements like this are a bit worrying.

I think that's meant as heatsoak on the intercooler has negative effects on the engines performance and has been linked to a bit of detonation in extreme cases.

Yeah heat effects performance and the STI comes with intercooler water spray if that's what you meant

High Intake temperatures are the killer for these engines (guaranteed to cause detonation or pinking) and the top mount intercooler suffers from heat soak when stood in traffic and stops taking in air at around 100mph as the bonnet geometry forces it over the scoop. Put that all together on a hot day and it can end in melt down.

If the engine starts to feel tight or lack luster then back off and let it cool off.

Nice one. But surely you will test drive it first.

White all the way for me.

There is at least one tuner on here that is going to by one so we should soon find out what the engine is.

Are we saying the Japanese are changing the engine in theirs in 2015 and ours may follow suit? I have got a bit lost with the comments on this!

Just got some quotes online from Go-Compare.

Only 4 companies would quote - 3 of them around the £400-mark fully comp and protected, the last company wanted £9500.

Happy with the £400 figure though. Cheaper than my Mountuned RS.

The only problem is - my CURRENT insurer won't quote. So i'll have to cancel 10 months into a 12 month policy. My no-claims would revert back to last year (9 Years). Bugger.

I think you will find there is no difference in premuum between having 9 years and 10 years no claims. The maximum NCB insurers take into account is usually 5.

This isn't correct, some recognise up to 15. I've found it does make a difference in price. I thought I had 10 years no claims when I had 9, the difference in some of the quotes was around £5-10. It made no difference with Privilege and Aviva though.

Ok - I've just got off the phone to the dealer.

I'm getting the Sti! Blue! Wahooo!

Can't wait - honestly. Sad to see the RS go though.
