Been to see it today. Is a good looking car. Give me SAT NAV and more power and I will be putting an order in. Still not sure about the wheels, but easy to change. The car is basically a MY11 with a new front and rear and a couple of new bits of technology.

Can do both of them terzoscooby

Did you get to drive it? That's where you will see the big difference, especially if you stretch it's legs a little.

What audio / SatNav options are you offering and did you get anywhere with the alloys?

How much will the pack / warranty cost if you already have the car?

Sorry Norman, still waiting for an answer on the alloys (and Rally armour). Sat nav there is one already, a Pioneer unit, as used in the other Suabru's, but I believe there is another one that will be announced in the next week or 2, which will have a few more extras.

Still working on the costs, but so far around £3k - £4k for the whole package. Still need to dot the i's and cross the t's on the warranty, so that may come down a bit yet.

Norman is right, the tracker system is now Scorpion as Adrian at Subaru confirmed to me last week. Metasat is no longer serviced (had a nightmare over this with a Cosworth!).

My Metasat is still working. Had a low battery warning last week cos valet parking had left interior light on.

No not yet. It only had 3 miles on clock but told it is very responsive almost too twitchy on the wheel having to be corrected and that is from one of the top tuners in the business.

Hi John

After all the complaints about power/warranty and not being able to trust the new car you offer this. . This should shut a few people up.

I can't give you a 100% yes but I can tell you that I was just toying with the idea of maybe getting one if my money situation changes in a few months. This is a bit of a shock for me and I wouldn't have thought that these changes would have made a big difference for me but they have.

If things change for the better for me in the near future (good chance) then I am IN and will be straight over to see you so I can pick my colour.

Just hope that your getting a better response buy email and pm because these guys seem to be talking about Audi and satnav, not what could be the best thing to happen to Subaru in years.

Looks great.

Excellent picture. Really shows the difference in roof line / windscreen rake etc.

Grey is very nice. It's a 3 stage pearl like the white but it picks ups all the colours from its surroundings so difficult to tell the exact colour but think the photo does it justice..
They finished it off this time, no bits missing like rear diffuser, boot hinge covers etc.. They even put a bit of plastic on the top of the front wings to hide the brackets and close the gap off.
It is basically a legacy floor pan with the MY11 engine and drivetrain and exhaust. Rear suspension looks the same but didn't get down to look at front.
It looks like the engine was set about 2 inches back when compared to top of front struts but need to confirm as we weren't sure how they have done that.
Interior is very nice but the the seats aren't as huggy as the recaros. The screen can be toggled to show boost gauge and torque to the 4 corners and a few mpg options (pointless for a scoob).
It now has an electric boot release.
Interesting the filler cap says 98 RON only. So that only gives you the option of V-power or Tescos Momentum!

It's the floorpan/shell of the Generation 4 (G4) impreza saloon which has a slightly longer wheelbase than the MY11 saloon, which is probably where your "2" further back" in the engine bay comes from

The only version we got in the UK was the XV

Comparison picture done back in 2012

Other views of G4 saloon.....

Hi Chris, I have had a great response so far, seems that most people are keeping it to themselves and mailing or calling me, one person even came in to my showroom saying here's my deposit let me know when you have done it, I want the first one! No pressure then Worked great though especially as my boss happened to be in the showroom at the time and saw it, so just strengthens my case that we have to do it.

I too am not 100% there yet, however, more late night work last night (so lucky I have such an understanding, supportive and patient wife) and I am 99% there. I just need some stats and data compiled tomorrow, and once done, present the whole case to the powers that be, and keeping fingers, toes and other parts crossed I may even be able to make announce it officially this week.

As it stands at the minute (but this changes each day as more and more cars are sold), I have a blue one for very late June delivery, black is September, white or grey are October.

That's great John I hope my wife can be as understanding as yours because I keep finding myself talking to her about spending £32-33,000 with a guy called John in Cheshire. I don't know where its come from but I seem to have the new sti bug(can't stop thinking about the bloody things
