Guys - how hard is it to remove a door-trim panel? This vibration i'm getting is doing my head in. Don't fancy taking my car to the nearest Subaru dealer (Derek Slacks) as thats 30 miles away and I would have to leave my brand new sti with them while they pull it to bits and have multiple road tests to hear the noise etc....
Anyone know what the likely cause of the vibration will be? It even does it when the music is turned up?
On another note - my god this car covers ground quickly. Without even breaking a sweat. I'm a good boy when it comes to speed limits, but this sti is frightening when you look down and see what warp-factor you are doing. I spend most of my time looking at the blumming speedo instead of the road! Not good!

Guest drove one at Cross roads today
IMHO the best out the box handling Uk newage I've driven.
Although it is a little hard form the diabolical roads round my way.
Inside was very nice place to be. Steering was a dream and the carbon fibre didn't look halfraids.
Car was a bit under. Powered

I agree - the stereo is terrible.
We were out in ours today in torrential rain and flooded roads - the sti was awesome. Unbelievably composed at speeds other cars would be in a hedge in that sort of weather.

It apparently improves the airflow over the intercooler and is supposed to (among many other things) help prevent the bent fins.
Mine bent when I took the car out in the snow, I suspect a few 90mph snowflakes did the cosmetic rearrangement

10/10 handling & chassis
9/10 suspension (slightly too hard. I live in the sticks)
9/10 interior
10/10 seats
8/10 power
10/10 looks
3/10 stereo (why?why?why?)
9/10 value for money.

36 front and 30 rear but the Dunlops are **** when they brake away it's all good and then suddenly you are wondering what happened cos your facing backward. Dunlops have been terrible for that for the last 50 years.

Hulk if you do loads of miles just keep checking inside of rears as they can sometimes step a little, keep swapping them around. But as for dunlops I did 30k with mine and 2 heavy snow falls, no issues here with em.....

Get your geometry checked. When I got mine all 4 wheels were different. The dunlops are really bad for ribbing on the inner edge but if the rear is set up correct they wear less on the inner edge. They are **** in the snow and wet compared to winter tyres.
To get 30k out of a set you ain't trying very hard. Must have been all motorway miles.

(3 and a half years with the MY11 saloon and a total of 17years with Subarus - is that enough experience???)

John if you want I'll let you see if my ZeroSports intercooler splitter fits to your new car when I bring her in later this month.

I can match Don on ownership had 4 sets on myY11 excluding winters. The best way to set tyre pressures is have a full geo set up. Then chalk the treads and drive a little on a good road. Stop and check where the chalk has worn off. If the edges have gone then increase the pressure. Vice versa if centre gone drop it and getting it right is very important for the wet as too soft cause aqua planing.
