Ok il respond to your comment that is what your saying we have never had a complaint about before so this is your saying only.. the car was jet washed 5mins previous to being brought into the breaking bay i do not know how they could have got so filthy which you say they was in I cannot see how they got in the condition your describing in less than 100meters of driving and dry conditions the marks cannot be seen in my pictures you provided one picture of the mark not a full picture so I cannot see where these marks are. You have not shown a full picture of any mudflaps and one of the sticker that is 1-2mm max missing apart of a logo this is very minor and easy to replace they don't hold up well to there punishing life next to the road

As for my response I replied in the same manner you confronted me with..I told you to return them for a full refund as I said in my above statement we sort things out even if it costs us that would have inc your postage costs that you did not asks about if that would be covered

your reply to come down to bring them in person in the threatening manor you did did not threaten me in any way what's so ever and said yes being them down if you so wish to I refunded you as I would any customer who wasn't happy yes I was shocked that you was complaining about the logo corner missing the marks again iv not seen where these are you have just sent a picture close up so I am taking your word on this

I have put my self in the firing line replying no other trader has stepped up we sorted out problem out as we would any time your threatening behaviour does not bother me in the slightest and tell me more about you and your attitude there is always to side to a story we sorted our problem out and yes it may have been a fiver for a drink not sure where you got the GOOD DRINK from but it's better than most would ever offer and we refunded you more than half the cost back we asked if you was happy you said yes case closed

As for the brakes you brought they do look terrible but if your buying parts off a 15year old car plus you can expect 15years of crap to be attached to that part also yes they shouldn't have been sold but do not expect new items

I didn't have to put my self forward and I hope the good people of this forum can see we did everything to sort that out clearly your not so easy to let things lie after they have been sorted out

to be fair to matty he is the only breaker on here who gives detailed pics of the cars he breaks, you can see from the pictures that they are not abused examples hence why i bought my engine from him last june and its still running fine now

Just this week I have been stung to the tune of 2263 for a newage 53k mile engine.
Luckily I paid with card as after 2 phone calls and 2 emails from me wanting to return the engine the trader has went quiet.
I have pics of everything and the engine has not even came off the pallet.
Basically its got excessive bore wear as shown in a leak down test.
Spewing oil from the cam covers and sump.
Play in the turbo which goes tight if you push it across and try and turn it.
Bits missing which I stipulated i wanted and we agreed they would send.
Very old sticker on the belt cover indicating a belt change at a much higher mileage than that advertised at time of sale.
It was not the engine I said I wanted, was from a similar car but was not sent pics.
Plugs are black and sooty indicating excess fuelling or some other issue.
Blatantly lied about delivery pickup date.
They have till the 27th to sort it out then my card company take over.
So if you are reading this mr un named trader I have pics of the engine I received, the leak down test and copy's of emails sent so get my payment refunded and this engine collected.

In defence of Mattybr5,I spoke over pm/eBay msg a few times and the small parts I bought arrived next day and were as described,I spoke to him about his uk newage engine but I went for a jdm newage engine as they are a bit better in some ways.
Wish I had just bought his now as feel he would have been quicker to sort this out than other as yet un named trader.
I have broken cars before and I always describe parts worse than their actual condition to be safe, these parts are from 2nd hand cars that have been broken for various reasons so not every time are the parts going to be mint unfortunately, what makes a good trader is 1 that rectify s problems quickly and with minimal fuss.

Those calipers are way beyond refurb IMO, four pots seem to "fossilise" and rust in layers. The corrosion is probably deep. I was chipping away looking for good metal on these then gave up

https://www.scoobynet.com/957597-var...l#post10905851

I wouldnt trust those mounting holes to sit square on the hub or the integrity of the mounting lugs. I wouldnt fit them to a smart car let alone a 300bhp subaru.

Matt, you need a new camera mate (and I'm not meaning because of this) I always think your pics look like a 70's porno effect

I'd happily buy off Matt, he's always been very helpful via pm and you can tell he puts a lot of effort in. It can't be easy photographing and keeping track of hundreds items, responding to hundreds of pm's all day and trying to keep everyone happy.

Let's be honest, he's breaking second hand cars FFS! With the greatest of respect, are people really moaning about spots on 2nd hand mud flaps? Seriously, buy some new ones if you want mint! Probably tar stains which, if anyone that's had mud flaps will know, are inevitable!

I know we've all got different standards and I'm a fussy bugger but if I wanted something mint, I'd buy it new.

Thank you lads it's much appreciated and James I'd have to put my prices up for a new camera we wouldn't want that I use my iPhone for all the pics as it easier for me to send them to all the people who ask for pics before we post them up its the latest iPhone but some parts and the light it make it bloody hard to get good pics but we do try again but yes agree may be a nice digital camera may be in need and thank you for your comment we don't sell new items there all used some times there not perfect but I still think we break some of the best cars out there cheers

Gonna need a new post for the rest of this though.

Another vote for Matt, always has what I'm after, top prices and without exception a nice chap.

And in no way is this me attempting to butter him up for a good price on a set of bugeye headlamps... ;0)

Right, can I try and set a few things straight for all the people whining on saying the moderators should be doing this, that, and the other about traders and monitoring threads.

Firstly, and perhaps most importantly, the moderating team aren't paid for their time, it's not their job. They do what they do in their spare time, mostly after they have been at work all day. Not all of them drive a desk connected to the internet, either.

Secondly, expecting the mods to read every thread/post on SN is frankly ******* ridiculous, but, that's what people are insinuating they should be doing. I don't read every thread on here, so why should they?

Thirdly, I-Trader is underused, especially reciprocated by the traders. Sorry Matt, I've bought a few things from you, but not once have you returned the feedback when I've left it for you. It's not just you though mate, it's most traders. It takes under 2 minutes to do.

Fourthly, I-Trader again, use it FFS if you're thinking of buying off someone.

In the pic above, where the arrow is pointing is the users I-trader score, just so happens it's mine. Click that and read the comments for the person you're thinking of buying from.

Also, that's the easiest way to leave feedback for people.

Anyway, to the crux of the matter. People are saying the mods should be doing this, that, whatever.

No, they shouldn't. That's admins responsibilty, which is Stu. He brokers the deals to allow them to trade, and him alone. The mods have no control over this. Now this isn't a pop at Stu, he has a business to run, passionford to oversee, and most importantly a life, as well as SN. So, I think that maybe another Admin member is probably needed.

Also I trader score is easy to manipulate as most sales are done via pm via sale/breaking thread so friends of friends can abuse it to get their score up.

Darren @ JDM also trades on facebook under Impreza Parts and theres posts galore on there about people not getting parts or money back.

Problem with the itrader on here is that you have to link to the for sale thread you bought from, and some people cant be arsed to look for the thread and cut/paste it.

It's higher than yours because I'm the real deal, not an ex pat Geordie like you.
