I have an issue at Blyton park, exactly the same corner at exactly the same fuel level every time. Got a Spec C assembly from the US (as they're standard on USDM STis and hence much cheaper) and it's being fitted with all my other stuff this week.

Roll bars.
Whiteline 24 rear, 22 front is pretty good.
I have the 27 rear (on the softest setting) and 24 on the front, sat on Tien-S lowered springs with whiteline drop links.
Totally transformed the car on B-Roads its now like a go cart!
Get some decent fast pads (kevlars are fine, but some others are definitely better)
Needless to say good tyres.
Engine wise for a road car the tractability of the TD04 takes some beating (bear in mind in in a WRX), as the power is there when you need it, so it i think Subaru have done a fairly good job with their standard turbo choices. Yes big turbo's mean big gains, but usually some loss in the 'everyday range'...
So do you want a fast B-road car or a fast straight line car...?

Defo not after a solely straightline car. Will be doing track days more as well. I'll look into the Spec C Tupperware, those ARBs and some Kevlar pads.
Just out of interest, if the setup you mentioned is a good one, why did you go thicker?

Simples: Thicker ARB's = less body roll so flatter cornering.
The 27mm rear is meant just for motorsport, so I took a gamble on it.
For the road, the softest settings is as stiff as you would want to go for sure!
On a track, generally the stiffer the better.
It sounds like you are after a compromise of road/track, so that's my suggestion.
Similarly with pads, IMHO Carbotech 8/10/12 are superb track pad but you will struggle to get them to work on the road..... The CL RC5+ is the pad I'm planning to try shortly...
