Relaxed security measures makes it a softer target than planes being flown around the western world. If that plane is able to land and refuel somewhere desolute and able to remain hidden, not only is there a scenario where 239 hostages are being held but also a plane that could be used to devastating effect.... The US doesn't move it's war ships off course unless it's a potential threat.

Ref Passports. If the Passport number was given when ticket purchased wouldn't this make it easier to check validity? Then when passenger goes through Passport Control at airport the Passport used could easily be checked against ticket without having to type it into the system?
If the Chinese satellite can see debris floating on the sea why can't it see a plane flying at 35,000 ft or whatever?

The satellite images of the floating debris wasn't taken in real time, it was their analysts checking back through data taken four days previously and spotted it. As for satellites watching planes- I guess it depends on where the satellite is monitoring and where it's focus is at the time. Apparently the satellite only detected a ping from the planes on board equipment and isn't able to give a exact location of position.

What we need to think is as to 1. why the hijackers haven't made any demand to whoever for whatever they're interested in, 2. what they want to achieve with this hijacking or 3. what they've already achieved via that. Other than that, 4. where the f**k is the plane hidden, FFS???
I think-
1. Hijackers have demands, but they cannot communicate from the remote they chose to land on as there's no signal for phone and internet. A stupid choice made by the hijackers, which may gain them sod all, and probably starving deaths for themselves and the hijacked once they run out of supplies on the plane. I bet they already have.
2. We don't know.
3. We don't yet know.
4. We do not yet know, and we really can't guess.
Mind boggles.
May be the pilots are included in the plot as crims, because who else will know better than them about how to disable plane comms. Mind you, media investigation tells that those two dodgy fekkers are also top notch in computer science and aviation etc. We just don't know much yet. Nothing should stop our brain trying to solve the mystery, though. Ability to hypothesise is a sign of intelligence, although our hypothesis shouldn't go too beyond the radar.
Radars come in different abilities, shapes and sizes as well, though.

Yes, but what if they stupidly parked somewhere so remote that they can't even offer anything, make no connection whatsoever with the rest of the world? Hijacking is a possibility, but Malaysian PM, by the sound of him, reckons that is the only possibility. So, just going by that, I agree with you, but the reason for not offering passengers could be what, like? That's what I was thinking.
Also, have they worked out yet why they would hijack, if hijack is what has happened? Or, am I just a bit too impatient? it has been a week, so just wondering. I could be wondering for another week or even longer, who knows.

Pasengers on the plane were>
• 153 Chinese including a delegation of artists
• 38 Malaysians including an official who was due to start a job at a branch office in Beijing
• 2 Iranians using false passports in a bid to seek asylum in Europe
• 3 Americans including an IBM executive who had recently relocated to Kuala Lumpur
• 2 Canadians returning to Beijing after a business trip
• 7 Indonesians, 6 Australians,5 Indians and 4 French
• 2 each from New Zealand and Ukraine; one each from Russia, Taiwan and Netherlands
Copy&Paste Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-26572172
I wonder which one of them would be most useful to the hijackers?
My heart continues to hurt for the relatives of the passengers, and if the passengers are alive, I can't bear the thought of what they could be feeling for last 7 days.

Ok but if your going to go down the hijack theory then the above is only the official list being released any one of this list could be someone totally different and worth something to the hijackers which of course could mean that a ransom has been given but is being held from the general public etc etc etc

Malaysian officials and American witgits are saying that hijack of this plane is not a theory anymore. Basing on the evidence so far, they're convinced it is a certainty. They're also saying that only the one who knew plane flying mechanics the best can do that hence the pilot in question for now.

Only any good if its a Impreza Diesel. And even then it'd do a good job at melting the pistons if ran neat.
Jet fuel is fecking Kerosene - diesels do run on it, but makes them run rather hot (which is why its used in DPF and VNT turbo cleaning additives ).
Edit...better look out for lots of DPF cleaning additive going cheap on eBay

Ok. Let me simplify it for you.
I said-
Now think. Who knows the plane flying mechanics the best? It has to be a pilot, yes? Therefore, the pilot’s house is being searched, meaning he is in a big ? now. I didn’t mean mechanics as some Subaru car mechanic in plural. I meant mechanisms, really. This word play wasn’t really a rocket science.
Further to that, one puts ? on someone who one classes as a suspect. Whether they are or not, time will tell. That pilot is in question, meaning his integrity is in question. Let's wait to see what unfolds in future, though.
Feel free to read this>

Hope this clears what the fvck that sentence meant.

The hijackers wont make the mistake of giving their position away - this has been very well planned.
If you do want to negotiate then you go off grid and get a proxy to do the talking for you - far far away from where the asset is.
That's if they even talk - I think it will be in a military air base inside a bunker. Could be almost anywhere but I am convinced its landed and has been hidden.
The big question is why..

Capt had just come out of court that day having seen his friend get sent to prison. Political case.
Alarm bells are ringing with that.
Also new radar data shows it climbed to 45000 ft (perhaps to expose pax to hypoxia) then dropped down to around 26000ft and then went back upto around 30000ft.
