Do you "CARRY" in your car
#34
The latest generation Maglites available in USA have screw on barbs you can attach to the head so it is more effective when used as a mace. Available in all the usual colours and in diamond tipped titanium for real nutters.

Another mega-Maglite carrier here.
Be careful with baseball bats, blocks of wood, crowbars etc. Could easily be construed as an offensive weapon. There was a post a short while ago about someone who was done for having a Swiss Army penknife in the passenger footwell of his car.

why not carry your wheel nut wrench in your driver side door pocket, if questioned just say it rattles about in the boot
either that or learn a martial art, it`ll keep you fit too

Carrying anything in your car (or about your person) that is obviously a weapon is a criminal offence.....
Items in the passenger compartment that could normally be there are a much better idea (I think wheel braces are a bit dodgy personally).

Thanks

You arent going to be able to do much through the window of your car... You need to get out and then erm... defend yourself... Mind you I know someone that caught someone trying to rob there car... He ended up leaving them in the boot of his car for two days..... That was just the start of what he did....

The only thing i have is a Kubatan (spelling) Katanna should be able to tell you more, but it hangs on your key ring is made of metal and once used properly can break arms, fingers and dislocate kneecaps very easily.
Obviously a martial arts weapon, but deemed reasonable force make sure you learn how to use it or else you'll look very silly !!
Oh yeah it's light and easily carried anywhere !!

Nutters... If you drive well and are alert very few car jackers will get you. If it comes to it can you realy say you could "follow it through......" remember all that stuff in the movies /tv is not for real. In any situation you must control your anger/response. Take a quick look at the situation ..any doubts get the hell away.
Having a gun might make you feal like "Clint Eastwood" but pulling it could turn the whole situation messy....
Had a friend who went out and did 3. years martial arts... Got into some aggro (NOt his fault) stayed because he thought he could do his thing( Now its his fault) and got well messed up....
I am sure that some guys here can look after themselves and enjoy a Knees up.... But I am sure there are a few who have/can/will but will always take the easy road home....
Be Lucky

Halon Fire Extinguisher. Used to know a guy who did Public Disorder (Riot) training abroad. He said you could temporarily drop a crowd with a quick sweeping blast from one. Also it's just the right size and weight for an end on smack in the face to someone reaching through the window.
Not sure of the legalities, halon is poisonous but you're more likely to be prosecuted for damaging the environment in this day and age.
I know I could go to prison for doing it (and I wouldn't if I had my nearest and dearest in the car) but I'll still do it if I have to. It's my car and I'll make bloody sure if I go to court for protecting my property it'll be on every front page in the country.
I'd do the same for someone else who was being car-jacked too. Stopping the rot starts with us, I'm not advocating vigilantee-ism or mob rule, just vigorous self defence.

My advice - let the ***** have your car - it's only a car.
Then find the names of all the convicted CAR Jackers and pay them a visit with all your mag-lites
Oh there's a problem with my plan - the police are so busy catching real villains (Speeders, grannies smoking cannabis, guys fishing for golf *****, van drivers with flags etc) that they haven't got round to catching any poor old car jackers - we should get off their backs - they have families too
