Oil Cooler in place of TMIC
#2
Certain Japanese tuning outfits do this. However, you may have issues with oil pressure and possible airlocks, especially at start up, if it isn't designed correctly. Not sure it is such a good idea as the cooler would be the highest point in the oil system. I would locate a cooler elsewhere, lower down on the car.
I am looking into changing the scoop for some form of warm air exhaust vent, to lower under bonnet temps and pressures and help the FMIC and rads do their jobs.

is it not possible to separate the FMIC from the engine bay... in a sort of channel?
u could make it into 2 parts.. 1 for the bonnet.. and the other from the FMIC... that join together when the bonnet is closed?
^ <--- air out?
-^--------\
\---- | <---Intercooler
eng \ | << air in?
&n bsp; \_|_
kind like the elise then...
dunno how it would affect the areo package tho
