Apexi or HKS fmic
#1
Can someone give me an unbiased opinion of which is the better FMIC to go for? I have heard from various tuners now that the APEXI ics have the best cooling, with largest core but are difficult to get in country with long lead times and limited reselers etc? However HKS seems very popular and I have no doubt that they do the job very well but are they more popular simply cos they are easily sourced in the UK and their marketing is brilliant.
I have a choice, apexi 6-8 week league time or HKS 1 week, both similar prices. Oh the apexi is a GT one as opposed to a street one.
Which one should i get? Anyone had experience of either or both?
Cheers
Paul.

I have a Greddy one and it was an excellent fit. More or less they are all the same mate. They can handle reliably up to 450 bhp. A couple of degrees is hardly noticable. If you ask me get the HKS one, they come with very strong silicone joints, unlike Apexi's.

There's a chap on the board called Harvey.
I can let you have his number if you mail me. I'm sure he's still got an APS FMIC for a 99 car at very reasonable money that he bought on someone's behalf but then they didn't need it. He could let you have it immediately.
Cheers
