I was adding bits that actually do stuff . The gold wheels take away(IMHO) as does the pink STI badges.
The IC Spray is too fiddly to use, as by the time i've thought 'ooh I could use the IC spray, reached down and pressed it' I don't need it any more.

I am growing to hate the VVT engine character on our STI8PPP..will be very lucky if it lasts a year
However the steering, gearing and brakes make it far better suited to me than the WRX.

Oh and Neil...the I/C spray on UK scoobies is actually full time automatic according to Mike Wood...the buttons just there to play with. Mike says 'if it ain't using water it don't need it' or words to that effect.

Chuck? really?
Is it only auto on the STI 8? cus i'm sure I read that it was manual(on the STI-7) and the Evo 7's was Auto.
Off to check my water level now, i'll mark it and see if it moves over the course of the summer(well summer ish).
The VVT engine is very different. I was'nt a big fan of it un PPP'd at all.

Not sure about the 7 though, Mikes a nice chap and very responsive to emails so I'd suggest you drop him a line mate.

I don't like the need to rev the engine like it was a vtech to get off the line. After MY00PPP and 'classic' STI's I'm keener on the old power delivery. To be honest I rarely drive it at all, use the wifes car or let her chauffer me.
Don't misunderstand me, it's great when it's rolling...but not as great as the old car IMHO.

Cheers chaps
how big are the brembo's? are they 4 or 6 pots?
i'm just about to replace my prelude VTEC so i'm well used to vvt - i've got 150ish horsies under 5,200 and then 200 up to 7,500
surely it just mans there's a wider power band? usual turbo power down low and then extra boost with the vvt atthe top of the rev range -much like the late model Supra's.
Is the suspension much better? How harsh is the ride and how much quicker round the twisties?
