I saw that too. He should be so lucky. Must still be living in the past when Imprezas had good residuals!
I recently sold my MY00 (a euro import) for £11.5k
Fair enough, the one in Evo has PPP, leather etc. but I still think he'll do well to get 13k.

We traded in our MY00 classic for a MY03 and got £12k and I thought that was generous but that had taken into account a £500 discount off the MY03 so really £11.5k.

Dudes, not everyone comes on scoobynet to sell thier cars, granted, no-one from scoobynet would buy it because we are aware of the market, but by chancing his arm in a national mag, who knows he might get lucky Someone who doesn't care, has plenty of money and just fancies a scoob may buy it. Why not?
I sell stuff every day to companies that if they took the time to "shop around" would see that they are paying over the odds. That's selling
We know it ain't worth 15.5k but to someone who has to have one now it will seem like a fair price.

As a very Belgian and regulary EVO reader I have the following thing to say ;
In the last years, EVO magazine had done several articles on Subaru, road tests, group tests off all sort and in all conditions.
In most of those tests, they praised the Subaru and the Lancer as THE CARS to have, with excellent roadholding, brakes and bla-bla-bla...
Of course, I share that way of thinking, otherwise I would have bought a BMW or a Vauxhall. But I think some people take this articles and tests a little too serious, hence the overpriced cars that I see in several magazines.
Creepy
