Downpipe sounds
#1
After fitting a H&S downpipe, the turbo sounds really chatty and loud. The exhaust now sounds a little tinny and raspy as opposed to just a deep burble - is this normal?

Do you like the sound?
I think you'll get a different sound with every combination of exhaust part/manufacturer.
The chatty I think I'd expect but maybe not the loss of burble.

I've got a full scoobysport system fitted.
First I had the bbox & decat centre then I had the down pipe changed.
The only real difference was it was a bit louder and I could hear the turbo "talking" to me
But, as above, all the verious systems & bits do tend to sound defferent in combinations.

Thanks Chaps,
Mine is a scoobysport downpipe and BB with Magnet Non resonated centre.
The turbo almost sounds "chirpy" though.
Maybe the exhaust is blowing somewhre.

I hate to say it, but i haven't seen a huge gain in performance by just adding the downpipe to my scoobysport / magnex combo.
Bit dissapointed really despite all of the hype.
Definitely faster, but doesn't sound as deep at all now.
