Sticky Mickey, mines a Uk Turbo wagon and I reckon one of the two previous owners has had both front wings and bonnet resprayed although they both deny it.
The colour match is awful in certain light, almost cream by comparison, I'm thinking of having it resprayed again to see if I can get a better match. I have an inkling that the person who sprayed it wasn't aware of the colour reference on the cars id plate.
Skoosh.

i have a sneaky feeling that the uk cars feather white is a totaly diff shade to the jap cars
im looking at pics of feather white cars now and u can spot on the jap cars, all the bits that arnt standerd and have been painted
i saw one sti type 6 which fully matched but they came from the factory like this
the bodyshop i use had a load of paint chips and even tried to spray sum new ones up to get a good colour match and they couldnt, which is why its getting lairy rally style paintjob in 2 weeks time

my local bodyshop thats done all my bits recently had a hell of a job matching the paint. He said there were 3 possible whites given by the chassis paint code (dunno if this is true).
My car is a creamy white all over, but the new bits started out a bluey-white, and there is also a very bright white apparently. Anyway, he sorted all the colours for me in the end.
Sounds like you had my original body colour somewhere mate! (creamy!)

yeah
the car is kinda creamy
but it was bumped on the boat from japan
the back 1/4 had a small den, this was filled and painted by the importer, now they ovb had a problem trying to match the paint so they trued to blend it by doing the rear bumper and boot lid to match lol only it was still miles off! it was a lot more creamy
i noticed when i 1st went to view the car, i used to work in a bodyshop as a valeter so im used to spotting things like this, it wasnt really noticible, untill i had the skirts, front spoiler and rear bumper spats colour coded, omg what a mess
they sorta matched the doors and stuff, i could live with them no probs, the front bumper had went a bit more creamy then the car and it stood out, the rear bumper was compleatly miles off
really really badly, if that was ok i would have left it alone but as it stands now it looks terrible (wish id left them grey lol) tried to have the back end matched up and they couldnt get the proper match (they did have a good few tries) so they advised me to come and pick the car up b4 they painted it
they got close, but imo theres no point doing it unless its gonna be perfect, so i took the car away, and then deceided to do summit a bit lairy
it goes back into the bodyshop 2 weeks yesterday for a rally style, racerstyle paint job on the back of the car, will look class, shame it wont be ready for the NBO tho, dont think i would have seen another one quite like it
