how can it be the 45,000 one if you've already had the cam belt done? I thought they were xxxx miles or yyyy months. If you've had the 45k one done beacuse you reached the point in time rather than miles, surley your log book is stamped for that service and it's the next one that needs doing?

Sorry. A bit confusing with out knowing what serving has been done.

Any way. I think the actual belt change is about £300. So I would say it's about £200 for the 45k without belt.

Nimbus , confusing ? yes it is ! car is 4 years old and has only done 30,000 miles so the cam belt was changed when it was 3 years old rather than on milage , but the next service thats due is 45,000 in the book ......I've got a headache now trying to work it out !

It should have had the 30k at 24 months. It sounds to me that your car has been serviced on milage alone, but as a precaution the cam belt was added to the 30k service. So your 45k service should be around £200??????

A 45000 service without the belt is the same as a 15000 service, I paid about £180 last time

A 30,000 on my My95 WRX (which is everything on a 45k less the cambelt) was £500 from Keith Price (main dealer). I did need some extra bits though like altenator belt, air con. belt and door handle!!!

TT
A 45000 is not a 30000 plus the cam belt it is definately a 15,000 plus the belt according to my UK 00MY hand book. The 30000 and 45000 come together at 90000 making a bill of about £700

Just had mine done but had front discs skimmed (£50) and a hydraulic pump had to be replaced as part of the time belt tensioner thingy. £650 for the pleasure!

lol belt snapped my ****... I use them for all my servicing (they also did the 45k on my old my99 uk turbo last year) now and the use OE subaru parts (or non-OE if you request it), they do the work on weekends for no extra cost, and it only took 2.5hours .

im in no way affiliated with them, just i'm really impressed with their service and price - can't ask for better (well i can actually, they could open a garage in bristol )

cheers,
simon.
