MY98 In Fancy Dress. Treat it to a valet...
...and it pisses down.
So before my £82.25 went down the pan i grabbed some pictures.
Have recently had the front and rear bumpers painted, side skirts colour coded, MY99 grill fitted and P1 Replica Splitter stuck on. Other new bits include the PIAA covers, possibly the best money i've spent on the car as they hide the nasty rusty reflectors and look quite fetching too imo.
All comments more than welcome, just don't say paint the handles.

Paint the handles, paint the handles, paint the handles, paint the feckin' handles....
lol @ flat4
Having the handles colour coded was on the list of things to be done when the car was being painted but Mr Bodyshop didn't fancy doing it. There will probably be a Round II of body mods including the handles, tidying of the splitter and a wee bit of straightening to the rear bumper.
Front end is MY99 grill and bumper and thee P1 splitter from eBay. Other obvious bits too like clear indicators, painted wedges + PIAAs. Bumper is completely standard under all the fibreglass however the splitter has been partially smoothed in.
NWS, mine has 261.5bhp, don't forget the 0.5.
Scoobyslammed, i haven't been stopped by the police once, for anything. The plate's been on for over a year now.
Considering new wheels at the moment and fancy the 18" P1 wheels in silver, what do you guys reckon? Don't want to go tooo tarty so would like to stick to OZ or Speedline etc. Your thoughts are valued!

Looks mint mate...
Probably only the second white Impreza I have paid compliment to!
Normally I am a member of the "paint the handles" brigade, but IMO, they break up the vast "whiteness" and look okay.
I'd stick with the anthracite SuperL's though... contrast much nicer that silver P1's would.
All IMHO of course!

lol, good PS Jay.
I agree with you John (after the kilt incident am i wise?! ), i hardly notice the handles and their blackness doesn't annoy me yet anyway! I also like the wheels, it's just they're 18 months old now and although they only have one minor kerb mark between the four of them the diminishing presence of any laquer (sp?) in places and the many tar spots on the front two wheels is annoying me.
IMO anthracite P1 rims would just make it look like it was trying to be a P1 too hard.

Dont paint the handles! it looks better with them black - only on a white car though. Matches the black bonnet vents and wedges. shove some smoked side repeaters and the 'S U B A R U' letters on the back of UK Turbos, stick some black ones of them on aswell. Oh, and swap your pink STi badge for a white one.

Car looks superb, as good as I have seen, especially when you consider where we live and the kind of farmers roads we use every day. Handles are 50/50 for me. Regarding wheels you must come down and try mine on some weekend. Bright Flitter new style 18” Prodrive wheels would look out of this word on that car. E-mail me sometime if interested. You would not be able to run the car with the 225/40/18, but could have a look and see if you like.

Whoops, i didn't see page 2...
Thanks for all the positive remarks guys.
Martyn, i'll write a little bit about the splitter in the Styling forum when i get a chance. It's a good option if you're desperate for the P1 look but if i was given the choice again i'd sooner wait patiently for a genuine item to come up for around £200 (maximum) than £150 for the rep.
Doug, comments noted and i do like the look of your handles. I have considered the bigger SL's but really don't want my car to be an imitation (albeit a white one) of Scoty's car.
Hey Jools. It's really depressing how quickly the car gets manky staying round here eh? Looking to make a move closer to your neck of the woods by the end of the year, driving through 3 miles of mud soaked single track to get to a main road is wearing me down lol...
I was actually considering the PFF-7's having only ever seen them fitted to one classic before (and the Group Buy that's going on atm) and i'd love to try yours for an idea. Offshore on Tuesday though and tied up with college for a month or so after that but we'll get something sorted out.
You going to manage KH on the 29th? Oh, and have you seen Jamie from Autoparts new Golf? So clean for a 13yo car it's almost unbelievable!
