Turbo up pipe
I'm changing my TD04 to a TD05 in a few weeks. (When i find a decent TD05)
So i was thinking while their changing the turbo I might as well get the up pipe changed at the same time.
I've got a my95 jap wagon so i believe i don't have a cat in the up pipe.
Would I gain anything by changing the up-pipe?
If so, to what? what should I buy?

buy one of Harvey Smith's option 2 up pipes, and get some of his matching headers as well, they work really well and increase spool up time for the turbo, which is nice.
I have a UK MY99 and it made a very noticable difference by having these mods, turbo comes in earlier and smoother and the top end isn't as restricted as before, well worth it imo.

Agreed. I already have the ported headers and I'm having the up-pipe fitted today. I'll post some pictures of the up-pipe later and comments on how the car drives, after the 35 mile drive home.

Here's a couple of pictures of the up-pipe:
It's a quality piece of kit.

and the heat wrap...neat job.

Unfortunately, the dealer couldn't fit it on Friday as planned, but I'll be having it fitted next week
