Any one doing Le Mans 2009?
Would be great to meet up with any fellow SNetters travelling to Le Mans next month. Were doing the 23.00Hr crossing from Portsmouth to Le Havre on Wednesday 10th June.

I'll be there, my first year cant wait for it. Will be on the Thursday morning 9.10 crossing from dover. Going down in my WRX, not looking forward to the fuel bill though
Sounds like i might be near you Goatblower, will be somewhere in Karting Nord, not sure what to fully expect though

i went last year and enjoyed it but there are some complete tw@ts there as well, they have some beers and think they can rally drive around the camp site.
one day someone will loose it and get run over or some will take a hammer to the driver.
the classic is supposed to be the best one now as you don't get all the dicks

Karting Nord is a great spot, expect to see many large beer mountains & lots of drunken shenanigans, last year we made 100m long "Back to the Future" fire trails amongst other firey things!
Didn't see anyone driving like ***** around our campsite but there is a lot of idiots drive like ***** up & down the roads that you have to be wary of
Look out for a BMW 135,an E46cabrio,Merc C class sport,Pug 206 GTi-6,1 or 2 Nissan 200sx's,an FD RX7 & about 15 drunk blokes
Edit: We are all getting the ferry from Dover Thursday morning now,not sure what time, might be the same one or it might be a bit earlier than yours.

on the the monday last year in the blue camp there was a father and son tw@t team in e30 bmw's doing doughnuts around the site ripping it up and getting well stuck almost up to their axles in mud.
the son being in his 20's you could sort of understand but the father in his 40's doing doughnuts while holding it on the rev limiter just shouts @rsehole and should have none better.
funniest thing i saw was 3 robin reliants painted in gulf racing colours on british plates zipping around

Well its only money dont think the turbo will be seeing much action on this trip! Bet the guy's in the 200SX's and RX7 will be worse than me.
Have heard about nutters on the road especially when the straight is opened up.
I'll keep an eye out for you, but we couldnt manage too early a start.

Jue M - I'll also be on the Thursday night ferry and in Bleu Nord - rusty silver WRX with a Golf TDi!
You'll have plenty of room in your Nissan for supplies!

All the pumps usually have the octane ratings on them so it's easy enough to work out & the first fuel stop/top up after getting off the ferry is a service area with a Shell forcourt & V-Power is V-Power wherever you are!

I usually fill up before I leave then top up at the first services after getting off the ferry & have to fill up once more about an hour or so from Le Mans, all depends on how you drive I guess
