oil pressure take off thread!
as above can anybody tell me what type of thread it is in the block over cylinder 3 so i can sort me a take-off for a gauge.

hi guys im not great with cars but can do bits im installing oil temp and pressure gauges and keep getting told about cylinder 3, where the hell is cylinder 3 antchance you can post some pics of getting to it? any help would be apreciated

Cylinder 3 is the rearmost, driver's side. The threads you need have a bung in them, it's about 25-30mm across with a 8mm hex hole in the centre. You need a LONG 8mm Allen key to get at it.
You can see the bung on top of cyl3 down in front of the intercooler and the turbo, access is better with the intercooler off.
Adaptors for gauge senders can be had from most gauge suppliers. Around £5-10

Alcazar is right.The plate just makes an easy and tidy fitment of the kit,especially for a DIY'R. Although I have fitted loads of plates and never had a problem.
