Default At what point do I stop being a "Scooby Newbie"?

Do I need to submit a certain amount of threads/replies or is it to do with how long I've been a Scoobynetter? Also, how come some members show up as joining in 1970??

You used to become a regular after 15 posts I think, must be more now. The 1970 members were members prior to the upgrade to vBullitin software.

Keep posting, you'll get there

hehe, board aside you need to have the following to become a regular

- Atleast one failed MAF sensor
- Mentioned that you'd have had him on the twisties
- Gone through a set of tyres
- Gone through a set of pads
- Wondered where all your money has gone
- Contemplated more than 10 times whether to sell it and buy a Golf
- Moaned about insurance
- Moaned about petrol costs
- Asked how you can get more than 200 miles from a tank
- Decatted your car
- Blown it up
- Fixed it
- Blown it up again

you get the picture

Oh and I forgot

- Defended your car from Evo owners when they mention it understeers a lot

and

- Commented at length about the highly scientific method of testing cars that Top Gear has

(speaking of which, they've got a Clio 182 on today I think)

Not sure what gives the 1970 Memebers. Some of us pre-date the Vbulletin by some considerable margin

You also need to have received a few nips for speeding you didn't do in a place you didn't do it and have sent it back unsigned! then and only then can you becoame a regular.

I quite like being a Newbie because it excuses my certain lack of technical knowledge. So I should remain a Newbie until someone big and experienced in the ScoobyWorld says I have posted a certain number of posts with correct info. Bit like passing an apprentiship in Scoobnetting!

With much horror, I find I have become from today a Scooby Regular! Maybe, I have exceeded my Newbie quota or I have just overdone it today. EEK.. I feel this means that the content and tone of my posts will have to improve from now on - or people like greasemonkey will say "tut tut, you should know better by now my lad".
