SNET down last night ?
I would assume not judging by the post times, however I couldn't get on all night at home. At work it's fine.
I've recently changed to broadband at home, any suggestions ?
Thanks
Allan

You're not on Nildram by any chance? SN was up and down like a yo-yo for me last night and today isn't much better.
This might give some more techy people a clue:
tracert bbs.scoobynet.co.uk
Tracing route to bbs.scoobynet.co.uk [217.79.127.30]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 2 ms 1 ms 1 ms 192.168.1.1
2 16 ms 15 ms 16 ms lon1-adsl9-2.nildram.net [81.6.205.65]
3 15 ms 16 ms 15 ms lon1-9.nildram.net [213.208.106.194]
4 17 ms 16 ms * lon1-10.nildram.net [195.149.20.141]
5 * * * Request timed out.
6 17 ms 16 ms 17 ms 83.148.191.84
7 26 ms 27 ms 26 ms 83.148.191.126
8 27 ms 26 ms 26 ms 217.79.127.30
Trace complete.

Andy no, I'm on E7Even, still no luck last night. I have three pc's at home and there all the same, the only common factor is the router. SNET is the only site I can't get, however it did work at first.
I've tried disabling the firewall on the router, deleting cookies, what else can I try ?
Cheers

I doubt the problem is at your end if SN is the only site you can't access. I emailed Nildram tech support last night, and it was working fine this morning (although I've no evidence that those two facts are in any way connected!).
It could still be that both your ISP and mine share a common pipe somewhere which is the problem. Will post any further news I hear.
