Scoobynet Driving Me Crazy
Hi
My normal login is 'Wish' But at the weekend I needed to change my email address. Easy I thought ?? Well no .... Entered my new email address, but have never recived a activation email ... so now cant post under it.
I have tried time and time again to get the activation code but nothing.
Ive even emailed the admin / help desk .... Nothing .....
Can someone point me in the right direction to get me back my account 'Wish'
I have created this account no problem... but have tried 2 others yesterday and didnt get the activation email for them as well.
My original email was a hotmail.com, but Ive now changed it to my own email address, and Im getting emails from other people so its all working
Any help would be great, as its driving me insane
Cheers

Wish,
I just dont think that there are any admins around. The search function was broken for nearly 5 days and that is a feature only available to paying members and yet there was not a single message from an admin about it.
Very strange really.

I think Simon is still around sometimes, but it isn't his responsibility any more and given all the grief he used to get I wouldn't blame him for taking a back seat.
Not seen anyone posting in here from Internet Brands recently, but I don't read every part of the site so I may be wrong if I said they weren't ever around. Just not seen them myself recently.

I've been playing around with the email change issue, seeing if I can track down what it might be. If I use my normal .co.uk address then I don't get the activation email (I'm waiting to check the server's spam filtering stuff to see if it's in the daily digest of items being filtered), if I use my gmail account, or my work account, both of which are .com then I do get the activation email. Thus I'm wondering if the problem could well be related to this.
It is possible the same thing might also be the cause of notification emails not being sent out, as I've not had notifications of PM's I've been sent, and previously I have had them, and the address they would be sent to is my .co.uk address.
Those of you who are not getting notifications, are you using .co.uk addresses, or maybe I should ask, are they anything other than .com addresses?

While this detective work is all well and good would it not be better for one of the admins with access to the servers to have a quick look at the mail logs and see why certain people are not getting emails i.e. are they being sent and accepted for delivery and lost at the recipient's end or are they for some reason not being sent i.e. domain name resolution issues etc.
