Yep same here, quite a few in members gallery are borked to, and the other page not found threads in here are borked to. DB corruption somewhere, it needs compacting and fixing.

Agreed, but opening a new IE window (closing the 404 window error) seems to work not too bad. Just trying to help.

It has to be a server problem. I'm not knocking the admin here but it must be getting annoying for the regular users as some threads are fine ?!

But, to be honest. Nobody seems to be helping the problems Scoobynet is suffering here.

Maybe admin are on holiday or summit.

F*** it though.

I'm off for a blast in me new Evo.

About 8 - 10 posts within Admin and not one infraction

That must be a record for me...

Simon (The webmaster hates me for some reason) .. as well as Phil Stephens/Andy from the SIDC site.

So what, can someone tell webby to get the approprite de-frag of the server in place as this is a bit naff.

Well 1 Infraction ...

Who did that ? and why ?

Who the f*** cares. I was only trying to help.

To be honest - I'm quite proud of another infraction really...

Only jealous folks do that.

Who infracted me ?

That is the question ?

Brave enough to identify and tell us all why?

Dont give a **** really as I've now got a proper car - An Evo 8.

But would love to know and why, but then again - you wont. And who cares about a scaredy cat.

bragging about your new car doesnt really solve the issue, or help admin identify the problem we are having

Have you tried the MLR ?

I havent had the problem for a bit now, but ive not really been posting as its a bit annoying getting the page not found

Not sure if it is just certain threads or random

The fault almost certainly lies with the hosts Titan, I have a forum with them also, and they are having problems with their servers at the moment.

I had not put 2 and 2 together until someone mentioned it above, but I keep getting error messages sent to my Email about problems on my forum.

Your infracted post didnt do anything (nor the 3 after that) regards the subject of this thread

I just got the page not found on this post, doing a refresh just leaves the page blank, but loading the page again shows the post

Bringing this back on topic

I too have seen a couple of Page Not Found errors. I'm using Safari on OS X 10.5.4. For example the "how-do-appeal-infractions" thread in NSR is giving me a Page Not Found. Looking at the url it appears as follows:

Code:
https://www.scoobynet.com/-4/712412-how-do-appeal-infractions.html
It would seem, for some reason, that the "non-scooby-related" portion of the URL is being removed, as the url should be:

Code:
https://www.scoobynet.com/non-scooby-related-4/712412-how-do-appeal-infractions.html
It is this missing portion of the URL that is causing the problem.

I've just tried it in Firefox 3 under 10.5.4 and I see the same issue, so it doesn't, for me at least, seem to be browser specific.

One thing I forgot to add was, that if I corrected the url, ie; added in 'non-scooby-related' it didn't suddenly make the url work, as it seemed the forum would take the correct url and then munge it to the incorrect one, which is essentially what is happening when you click the url from the list of threads in the forum. If you hover over the link in NSR you should see the status bar display the actual url for the link which is correct, it's only when you click the link to view it that things get messed up.

There is also something else I'd like to add (Simon, please edit/remove/correct me if this is inappropriate), which is, yes there are problems, however, blaming Simon, or saying the issues are not being dealt with because Simon does not like you is somewhat silly.
Do remember that SN isn't actually run by Simon any longer, it's owned by IB (Internet Brands), and is hosted on whatever servers they decided to move it to. Thus problems of this nature may well be things that are now out of the control of Simon, it would be down to IB, and all Simon can really do is to contact IB, make them aware of the issue, and hope they resolve it promptly. There is the IB Admin user on here, so dropping a PM to him might be worthwhile as a secondary (to posting in here, or alerting him to a thread in here) way of informing them there is an issue.

That isn't what is happening for me. I click on the URL and the URL that then displays in the address bar is the same as the one shown in the status bar when hovering over the link before clicking it. It just doesn't work for some threads e.g.

https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...a-red-wrx.html

Think it is a database issue. The post data is in there (as it shows up on searches etc.), but something is missing for some threads that prevents the page being built, smacks of database corruption to me. Need Oracle's commit and rollback I think
