Default New wheels protection

I've got 4 lovely new alloys sitting the in corner waiting to go on the car once I've used up the tyres on my old alloys.
I've brought some Poorboys wheel sealant off PB (fantastic service as usual).
Should I treat the alloys with the Poorboys stuff or apply a wax or polish to the wheels before applying the Poorboys sealant?
Cheers
Matt

No essential need for anything else, just get 2-3 coats of the Wheel Sealant on every visible surface. No need to wait between coats, just apply the first, allow to haze for ten minutes then buff, then apply the second, and so on. Top up every 4-6 weeks or so for maximum protection through the winter, and make sure you wash off the brake dust every week if possible using normal suds. I will soon be doing a range of wheel care kits that will include Jeffs Werkstatt Prime Strong as a basecoat for Wheel Sealant, as this extends the protection by quite some margin, and serves as a light polish to remove any stubborn traces of brake dust (use every six months or so).

Cheers. Gonna start doing the wheels this lunchtime and over the next week should build up a nice few layers of protection on them!

Another vote for the Poorboys sealent here it's the best product I've ever used for alloys.
