intercooler
when cleaning the engine bay is it ok to clean and rinse off the intercooler? i know rain gets in there anyway but dont want to mess things up

Yes, no problems at all.
Hose it down and watch all the crud come out of the fins

you could also wash the intercooler out with petrol (inside)!
