Default applying glaze

Hello there

Just wondering if I can apply Menzerna glaze on top of BF sealant. Here's the background: after getting the glaze I clayed the car and then used Menzerna IP before applying the Glaze and BF sealant to deal with swirls. Although the glaze has reduced the swirls somewhat they are still apparent and I am thinking about applying another coat of glaze and then sealant. But, is it ok to apply over the existing treatments?

Thanks in advance
Nick

On a side note, have you tried Autoglym SRP for your swirls? Works wonders on my car and is a lot easier to apply by hand than the Menz stuff.

Yes tried this: great when applied but seemed to lose its effectiveness very quickly.

Hi Nick, yes, you can interbed layers of most glazes with waxes/sealants. In some cases the overall durability of the sealant layers may be compromised by the presence of the glazing oils (which may prevent full cross linking of the polymers), but if you add further coats regularly then this shouldn't be a problem. You can also layer glazes too; I did just this today on the bonnet of a VW to demonstrate their use to a customer - 1 coat was okay, 2 coats was almost perfect in terms of giving the illusion of swirl free paint.
