Black Spots
I have White Rota GRA's on my bug sti and there seams to be a collection of hard black spots in the corner of each spoke where it joins the outer rim of the alloy. Tar remover doesn't seam to remove this and I want to be carefull not to mark or damage the White paint.
Does anyone know what this black stiff is and how's best to remove it.
Cheers Andy

Certainly sounds like Iron-X would be the logical step.
It's currently out of stock but is due in with us next week: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acata...ro-iron-x.html
The product description page gives an explanation of what it does and how it works - it's safe for almost all paint surfaces, take care with areas which have been repaired/touched up.
Feel free to email ro call if you need more help or want to discuss anything: enquiries@polishedbliss.co.uk 0845 454 0017

That looks like good stuff PB. Reading your notes on Iron X am I to beleave I can use this in stead of claying the whole car and get somewhere near the same result?

In some cases, yes, Iron X will eliminate the need for claying. It won't remove tar so at this time of year especially, a tar remover is required in the decontamination stage.
Iron-X will only remove ferrous (iron-based) contaminants but in some cases this may be the only contaminant on, or indeed in, the paint surface.
I think for your wheel issue Iron X will do the job and the remainder of the bottle should be enough to use on the rest of your car.

Andy sorry to hijack the thread matey.
John, would you suggest removing the wheels to carry out this process? My partners car has heavy brake deposit build up on the spokes and cannot shift it.
I'll take a 500ml bottle when they come in stock if you can let me know?
Sorry again Andy.

Iron X should be with us later this week: I'll try to remember to post here when it's in: the stock status on our site will change when it arrives too.
It'll be ideal on white wheels were contamination shows up more obviously.
The price has recently been lowered from £15.95 to £11.95.....

Just had an email from PB to say my order is on hold due to them being out of stock again.
I think you guys at PB need to carry more of this stuff in stock if you sell out of it in 2 days. Not best impressed that ive now got to wait possibly another week for it to come back into stock.

There was fairly massive demand for Iron X since the end of the week, way in excess of what we expected. In fact, we our busiest January weekend ever.
The re-order is significantly larger than the previous one (which was, in itself, sizeable)
I appreciate it is a pain to order only to find it's out of stock and, whilst we're obviously happy to have sold out, we have mixed emotions as there are customers, like yourself, who we feel we've let down.

Got mine yesterday and used it today.
Must say I wasnt exspecting it to do such a good but I was blown away with the end result. Just a shame it was getting dark when I got finished.
