The right hand edge of the rubber on my left analog has split. Probably racked up 400+ hrs on BF4 since release day but my Dualshock 3 controllers never had this problem. In fact they only one I broke was self inflicted rage when I lobbed it at the wall

Seems a common problem but I have contacted Zavvi who I got my release day bundle through and they have tried to pass me onto Sony to get a replacement under warranty. I have refused to accept that and await their next move. But has anyone else managed to get a replacement sorted via the reseller or Sony themselves?

Real shame as I love the controller – a big upgrade from Dualshock43.

I'd love to have that amount of free time to waste on my Xbox!

That was a guess. But thats about 11-12 hours a week on average. Have no kids and the PS4 is hooked up to a monitor in our office / spare room so doesnt stop the wife from watching Eastenders!

Still only rank 121 in BF4 lol

Its a know issue, that Sony have acknowledged and will replace under warranty, just return to to where you purchased.

We took ours back into Game and they replaced it there and then.

I bought mine online. Zavvi are saying that because I bought it as a bundle they would require me to return everything for replacement not just the controller. Which I am not gonna do. Hence why they are telling me to try Sony.

Was yours a bundle and did GAME just swap out the controller for you?

I would not normally use Zavvi tbh but I decided 1 week before release I wanted a PS4 and they were pretty much the only option to have a punt on and tbf I did receive mine on release day before lunchtime. Unlike my work colleague who ordered from Amazon as soon as release dates announced and didn’t get his til 2 weeks after as delivery lost it / delivered to wrong house.
