It's not that it's not Apple, it's £100, you buy a Kia it's not going to perform like a Ferrari, why are Android tablets different, doe the Hudl perform like the Samsung flagship tablet?

that same as brake disks that are just stamped different brands off the production line? lol
Not saying thats the case, but brand doesn't relay mean anything until you actually try it

So now Ferrari are just a brand with no substance? Without trying I can tell you that any car in the Ferrari range is substantially better than a Kia. In a similar vain given the choice of the best Hudl and the best Samsung, I'd take the Samsung.

It's got a very good spec for the price although the issue seems the intel cpu could be questionable vs the current arm cpus used in the competition. Initial reviews have mentioned some lagging so i'd be interested in seeing one in the flesh to play about with.

Had a play with one today in store and the screen is lovely and the build quality seems good. Didn't come across any lag when navigating about and opening apps etc. Couldn't get into play store obviously as need to be logged in so couldn't check any app compatibility issues. Thing is I don't need one so must resist buying something I don't need when I have an ipad and nexus 7 I'd be interested in finding out if it can run SkyGo and Now TV or if everything is forced through the pre installed Blinkbox app. Apart from the Tescos widgets and apps pre-installed it looked native android 4.4.2

Review up here: http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/table...-hudl-2-review
I was waiting to either get an Ipad Mini Retina (if they announce a new one this month, though would still get the current model) or the new Nexus 9 as gave my last tablet to the mother-in-law and tired of waiting to use my wifes Ipad.
However, only really use tablets for watching video (youtube, Netflix & Amazon Instant Video) with the odd app (no games) thrown in, so really fancy once of these. Screen size is spot on and will only cost £65 when using Clubcard Boost. It's a throwaway price really. Takes MicroSD too, so easy to expand and putting another launcher on it will get rid of the tesco specific widgets.
Battery life is probably ok enough, based on the overall cost savings.
Can see myself ordering one up on Wednesday when they go on sale for delivery to my local store on the Thursday.

A new review for it got 5/5: http://www.pocket-lint.com/review/13...-hudl-2-review.
Picked mine up last night - didn't cost a penny apart from £65 of clubcard vouchers. Very impressed with it - feel and dimensions of the tablet is excellent, screen is very good indeed and whilst the Tesco Launcher did have a slight judder from time to time, in app performance is flawless and all judders disappeared when using an alternative launcher.
Screen size at 8.3" is excellent too. Very pleased.
