Default Help .. Apple key chain

I've got an Apple iMac 5k which gets very little use.

Turned it on the other day and it's asking for a key chain password.
I have no idea what this is and never set it up. I can't get rid of it and have tried everything.

My Apple ID doesn't work.....

Help me get rid of it

It's your login password.

When you turn your Mac on I hope you have a password that you have to enter, that's the same one as your Keychain. If you don't have one click the Apple top left, system preferences, users and groups, highlight the admin account and set a password.
