Importing invoices and wages into Sage this AM (regular accounts man away). Now I ALWAYS do a backup beforehand.

Imported the stuff, then carried on with other work. Accounts went in & found that I'd been given the wrong file to import. Ok - time to restore.

Went to location of where the file was (or where I'd normally have put it), found it, went into explorer to check the date/time, that seemed OK, so restored it.

Squeeks from accounts after I'd told 'em I done it as everything missing from current period

Went & looked at the file I'd restored from 08/08/01 10:26 - what? Did a search & found the file I'd done this morning 08/08/02 10:17

What a co-incidence Same file name, same proceedure, 1 year and 9 minutes apart How freaky is that? I hardly ever go into Sage & do maintenance for it!

Sweating less now
