At the moment it doesnt seem to want to connect at all.Is there any reason for this?
With this problem im annoyed because ive downloaded 780mb of signs and im 10mb's short.
I try playing the .part file in WMP but keeps saying used in another process(but ive copied it to the Desk top in a separate folder)
Any ideas?
Also, i want to stop people downloading off me. In the options it says not to mess around with settings.
How should i set these up correct?

The only way I *think* you can stop people from down loading from you is by using Tiny Firewall etc. But doesn't that kind of defeat the whole point of edonkey. If everyone stops sharing out then the whole thing collapses. And no one gets anything. Plus is doesn't limit your speed.

Get a new server list preferably a .met file and update your list. Mine stopped working recently so I downloaded the latest list and now its working better than ever.
As far as sharing is concerned move all your files out of the folders they have been downloaded into and put them into another folder where they cant be accessed, ie not listed in the edonkey preferences. However doing this like already mentioned defeats the whole idea of edonkey.

i'll get an ftp server set up for then, then.. only just got my server pc back up and running, havent got all my services sorted yet...
