The excellent PC grand prix racer doesn't make it to Xbox's front grid after all...
Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 4, that was being ported from PC to Xbox, has been given the old heave-ho and won't now be released.
Infogrames has described the canning of the game as "a decision that was made for corporate reasons and not because of the quality of the game." We asked Infogrames what exactly 'corporate reasons' meant in this case but our contact was unable to shed any light on the decision this morning.
Can it be pure coincidence that Grand Prix 4 developer MicroProse (who were owned by Infogrames) was closed down last week?

Grand Prix 4: Xbox: We have received reports that the xbox version of Grand Prix 4 has been canned. You can't really be that surprised if it is in the same state as the PC version. Not a chance it would get past Microsoft QA. It looks like Grand Prix 4 is the worst programmed and coded F1 game ever. Is it time for Geoff to retire? or find a new publisher?

The world's worst run gaming company, Infogrames, have left us in even more confusion today about whether or not the Xbox version of Grand Prix 4 has been canned (cancelled). Gamers.nl and GameFaction.com are reporting that the Grand Prix 4 version of Xbox has been cancelled, however Infogrames UK are stating that they simply "do not know" whether this is the case.
