Hello

I just bought UT2003 and it's great!

After reading some of the comments here (and having downloaded the demo) I was a little sceptical, but the game is worth it. Having said that it's not that much different to the original UT, just better graphics.

Steve.

Where did you download the demo from?
I have one of the versions, and love it.

LOL. At least it isn't the full version that engulfes 3 GB on your disk!

I picked up my copy today, as like or dislike, I had to have the updated version

Cheers,

Nick

Mine has been on back order on play.com for months.

Just spotted this thread and went to check. It has status "packing". Yipeeee.

I love UT. We bash the LAN with it all the time.

All sorted now,
Had a little practice yetserday on instant play....
Today, first deathmatch on line,
got totally screwed - 23 before I lost
Frag limit was 30 so at least I wasn't last.

I'm buzzing, totally cool, as was said earlier, bye bye Quake.
she runs stutter free in 1280x960 and all other settings on high.
I'm well impressed !!! (1.1Gb Athlon, Nvidia Gforce2 GTS 32Mb)

Loads of ppl (me included) having problems playing the game, the crappy anti-copy protection keeps cutting in and kicking me back to desktop, the solution seems to be the no-cd crack, if anybody needs it let me know, it works fine now with that installed.

Thumbs up

Got it, got it

Seriously good!!! Graphics are ok (awesome really)... and the gameplay is equally as good (YES it IS). A couple of the maps are easily as good as the best in UT. Physics engine is top. So, for all you oldskool, IT IS worth getting!!!

So why don't we find a quiet server and all meet up for a bit of a frag session?
I'd suggest a CTF map would be best, get a bit of teamplay going.

Personally I find the Citadel and Face3 maps particularly good for CTF.

Unhappy

well, downloaded quick enuff but then needed the patch for Voodoo3 drivers

So downloaded them and now up and running, not a baaad game, but, IMHO not a great leap forward like the original UT, just more of the same, and prettier!

Dont think I'll be buying it just yet....
