Title says it all really. After just having being informed of the the third round of redundancies this year
I think it is time to start looking around again. Any recommendations for good agencies (IT perm or contract) would be appreciated.
Cheers
Chris

Thanks Guys - very useful. Job market is a bit dire at the moment, but I've already found a couple of interesting jobs, so all hope is not lost!
Anymore recommendations gladly accepted.
Cheers

Guys,
Sorry to put a downer on things, but the IT job sector 'SUCKS'
at the moment, i have been firing off CV's left right and centre, oh, yeah, got plenty of autoreplies, and a few calls from divs at the agencies, who cant be arsed to read my CV and ask me over the phone, what i've been doing etc.......
Sorry if there are genuine recruitment guys out there, but, i can only relay what i've actually experienced in the last week or so.
Seriously considering doing something new, until the market picks up again, and happy days are here once more.
Keep your heads down till after xmas if you can, coz it aint an easy ride anymore.
good luck all
BB

The only trouble with agencies is that, believe it or not, YOU have to keep hassling THEM on a daily basis or you get nowhere.
And I've also had bother with numpties not reading what you're skillset is so they offer you jobs you can't do !
Dicks.
It's pretty quiet at the moment, and I'm considering paying for a quick course to update my skills so I can cross over to a couple of other areas and increase my chances, but they cost a fortune.

Thanks Rich - do you know? I'd half considered it ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Cheers Chris
I suppose it does depend on what area of IT you are in, but certain sectors aren't looking too bad. IT Security (my area) is not too bad - I've seen a few jobs that look quite promising. I'll let you know how I get on. As regards staying put, I'm not sure I am going to have that choice![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
