anyone know how to reset the bios on a compaq server(sorry not sure what sort, rackmount 3u ish?)

major ***** up at work, all NT admin accounts locked out, so went to boot off recovery and wasnt allowed due to bios password(which no one has) Im sure its possible - Ive used a jumper on a home PC.

any suggestions or links much appreciated.

what server is it? Is it cream (opal) or black (carbon)? depending on how old it is depends on what machine it will be, could be anything from PL850, PL1850, DL380 G1 or DL380 G2.

I can get an answer from the dev team tomorrow.

Do you just want to rebuild the server or do you want to recover this box ?

Don't blow it away !!! Reset the password for the BIOS and get your hands on a NTFS to DOS disk to do the password reset in a rather nifty way . . . .
