On various sites i often get them Little X's as opposed to the pic. If i click refresh, they often appear. It's not a Norton thing, cos it did it before Norton went on.
It's the same with smilies. They often don't appear until i click refresh. Any ideas?

Check you IE settings to ensure that you have picture viewing on by default this is done by Tools >> Intenet Options >> Advanced >> Multimedia >> Show Pictures
Where every >> is a sub menu or option.

Yup thats ticked.
It's not a real problem to me, it's just a bit of a pain when i have to click refresh a couple of times to get things to display properly.

No, none of that. If it was sommat like that, i assume i would get red x's all the time. Like i say, it's not all the time, and when i do get them, i can usually hit refresh and the pic appears.
It's only really annoying when i'm trying to pick a smilie for my latest post. I normally have to hit refresh 5 or 6 times for them all to display correctly.
