Help needed getting sound to work!

I built my PC up from scratch, everything Ok apart from the sound!

I have a Gigabyte GA-8SDX SiS 645 AGPset motherboard with onboard sound. Trouble is I am running Windows XP & cant find a suitable sound driver for it?? Any ideas??

Yes, sound is enabled in the Bios!!

Any ideas?? Still not working???

I currently have on-board sound, so if I get a new PCI sound card, will that help??

Matt,

The fact that you paid for on'board sound means you should be able to use on'board sound. The m'board might be faulty. Have you spoken to the supplier?

But yes, I would have thought that if you added a PCI sound card it would work correctly.

Doh, just re-read your post and noticed that you said you can't find a driver for it. Might not be a faulty m'board after all.
