Have a Compaq laptop which I want to replace the HD of.
How easy is this and which sites should I be looking for one ?
Also, any particular things I need to look out for (data replication, OS ?)

You should find most 2.5" drives fit BUT find out how high it is before buying anything. There's 9mm, 12.5mm and some godawful 15mm drives out there - I needed 9mm for mine...

Devil is it a N400c ? if so i have a pdf file of the Hardware guide if you want it, i also have one of these laptops and a Evo N610c, let me know if i can be of help.
