Im looking around for a board and ive found one supporting DDR400 and AGP 8x, but is using SIS648 chipset.

What i want to know basically is it any good compared to an Intel CS??

Would i be better off buying a less spec motherboard then ive seen with Intel stamped on it.

Cheers

Si

if you can afford it, go for 32-bit RAMBUS memory

Si,

There's supposed to be a new Intel chipset out in April time (ish). When I get back to work I'll check for you.

Epox EP-4SDA5+ (Socket 478 motherboard) (MB-016-EP)
The Epox EP-4SDA5+ is the first board to offer DDR400 and AGP8X for the P4 Platform. Using the SIS648 chipset Epox have dragged every ounce of performance possible from the Pentium 4 offering unparalleled features and speed.

- 3 x 184pin DDR-SDRAM slots
- 6 x PCI slots
- 1 x AGP(8X) slot
- 2 x ATA133 (upto 4 devices)
- 2 x ATA133 RAID (upto 4 devices)

I want DDR400 and AGP 8x, i want to transfere to canterwood later in the year...........

I am with Chris, but I am well known for making my feelings on SIS clear on here. They have come a long way over the last year/2, but I still won't be using there stuff yet.

Cheers,

Nick
