![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I've got a client who currently connects with Demon using OE5 to get his mail.
He's bought SBS and we want to configure the Exchange Server to collect all the mail and distribute it amongst his (5) staff.
It's a dial-up Demon ISP account.
Now this was dead easy in Exchange 5.5 but seems to be a complete 'mare in 2000!
Can anyone let me in on the (probably obvious) way to do it.
Cheers!
Phil

Yup - THIS will do the trick nicely ![Cool](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/cool.gif)
Its FREE, distributes emails to registered mailboxes (rejects others) & works on the POP3/Webmail username/password, so not the usual dial up one (OK its only the password that is different)
Its what I use @home, but the reason I use it instead of SMTP is that I curently use a different ISP for dial-up/accesss. ChrisB will be able to help sort out the mx records etc for SMTP, which is the best way to do it.

Load up Exchange System Manager.
Off the top of my head...
Look in Connectors in the tree on the left and you should fine the POP3 Connector that Steve mentioned. This will do the job for you.

Whoooaa!!!
Becuase Demon give you a fixed IP there is no need for a pop3 connector. Make sure SMTP is working, dial up and watch the mail come in via smtp because demon hand off there mail via smtp as aprt of their standard dial up service...

Quick related Q about Demon Dial-up...
Even if you don't put down a fixed IP on your DUN settings, do Demon always give you the same IP for your account?
I've tested this a couple of times and I think yes, but if somebody could confirm would be much appreciated.
Chris.

Yep, in my experience. We only use demon and I have never managed to come across it handing out a dhcp one if you don't put your fixed ip into the DUN settings, back in the days of the lowly modem of course
.
Sure somebody will come along ad disagree tho![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

The POP3 connector wasn't installed, I had to add it as a component which is why my 'dig around and find something that looks right' method didn't work.
If anyone is interested, this is a pretty good document about it

Cheers all!
