Question

I'm looking for a rack to mount 19" patch panels in.

Any idea where I can get a cheap one from - doesn't have to be very tall and I'd be happy with a second hand one - it's only going to go in my loft......

What sort of size Al?

We have various second hand 19" wall mount cabs in our store at HQ.

If you dont want a full rack then Maplins do just the front rails. You could screw these to a self-made wood frame.

I have a few bits of 19" kit in my loft - switch, patch panels etc.

I bought a B&Q value kitchen cupboard (£25 i think) and added a few battens in the right place and just screw my kit into them. Its not as if I'm unbolting and re-recking every few weeks

Stick the pic up of your rack

That's what I did - build a desk, leave a 19" gap & stuck some rails in

Thanks guys - I guess I was over-engineering - a simple MDF box will do !
