Web popup/PHP question

Hopefully some web expert can help me here!
If you check my website at
http://www.pocketpcsoft.net
then down the left hand side are 3 'top ten' tables.
These are killing the server, so I'd like to only show one, but allow a user to click on the other two and either:
a) get that section of the table only reloaded with the users choice
b) popup a small window, just containing the 'top ten' selected.
Can anyone help with this at all?
I use php at the moment, but am a bit of a novice at all this!
regards,
Greg

from what you describe you dont really need to use php, just some javascript..
pop-up window info:
http://www.crays.com/jsc/
or you could use iframes... and embed a frame in that left side and put the top10 in it.
http://www.freesources.net/authoring/html/iframe.htm
or you could put a link just to re-load the page with the different top10 list. This could be done with 3 different html pages or php (you would have to send a variable to your page to tell it to show a particular url, and then have an if statement in your php to output a particular top10 list depending on what your variable is.
cheers,
simon.
