I'm trying to export a folder from outlook express 6 and get an error message "An error occured while initialising MAPI"

Anyone got any ideas what I need to do to fix this?

Exactly the same here. I have a feeling it's looking for Outlook or an Exchange server on the same machine.

You could 'select all' on the folder then drag and drop them somewhere else on your machine.

In Internet Explorer, click , Tools, Options and check that Outlook Express in the default mail client, not Outlook.
