Depends what you want really !
The screen is loads betrter than the Vx and earlier palms, but the 515 is better still.
Have you had a Palm before ? Are you asking how the 505 compares or if the Palm concept is good ?

Yep, they're pretty good. Don't own one but I only didn't go for one of those a year ago 'cos I got a HandEra 330 instead.
Which, as I'm sure you're gonna ask, is a Palm-OS based device which kicks butt feature-wise and is available from the US for $200 plus tax plus shipping plus customs plus... , or from the UK from one place in London for about £350 (maybe a bit more). It's a power user's device and not right for everyone, but I love it. Supports CF cards, decent loudspeaker, voice memo's with it's microphone, uses std. batteries, or (with extra power pack) rechargable. High res (320x240), minimisable grafiti area for large screen area eg. document/pic viewing, can run OS3.5.3 at present (so anything needing OS4 or higher won't work ie bluetooth), not sure if OS4 will be released for it. If you want colour, go Palm M515, or maybe look at the Sony's cos they're pretty cool too. I think it uses the batteries a bit quicker though with colour. I totally don't need colour - really only more useful for games and viewing pictures (or maps) on. What do you want it for? Will you use it all the time?
