Slightly daft but - coloring the fascia of a cd-rom unit?

Thanks for that.
Plextor actually do a black fascia for their CD-RW but they DON'T do one for the combo DVD / CD-RW I got.

I bought some of the Lian Li drive bezels, and they're rubbish. Utterly worthless - save your money. They fit poorly - but the worst part is the adhesive. Even after cleaning the surface of the drive they wouldn't stick and quickly started curling up at the edges.
If you must have colour coded drives (which I personally do) then buy 'em colour coded or paint them properly. Just don't waste time/money on these bezels.
All IMHO, of course...

If you have a Lian Li case tho or similar, you can just 'stealth' your cd drives. I have done so. Look like the same alu blanking plates that the rest of the pc has on the front, but touch the bottom right corner and out pops the tray ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I also drilled a 1 mm hole on the blanking plate were the cd led is on each and bonded in a tiny piece of fibre optic, so you can see what the drives are upto perfectly. Looks very nice imo of course![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Sorry to sound dumb are you saying, secure blanking plate over cd/dvd tray end (adesive or other means) just set the drive in deeper to the bay so it's flush with rest of case front, then you just need to press bottom right corner which will in turn depress hidden cd/dvd eject switch![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Cheers and sorry for dumb **** question but it's late![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Actually that makes sense.
My case has a rather neat looking blanking plate in the location of the cd-rom drive. I was thinking of doing something along the lines of that. Just need the sticky pads! Not bothered about the led's or buttons holes.
