Sending files to phone via infra red??

I am trying to send a small jpg file to my 7210 from my laptop. I have activated the infra red link but it won't send the file - 'invalid data'.

Is it possible to do this at all, and if so what am I doing wrong?!

cant do it im afraid. ive tried and tried with my girlfriends phone (7210) but it won't work.

Is it possible to send jpg's to the phone with a data cable instead, or is the whole idea a no brainer??

i used this before i changed the phone, works fine for pictures and ringtunes be carefull though take a backup of your original wallpapers
